What does this static QR code generator do?
Vaultaire puts the displayed content directly into a standard QR Code Model 2 symbol. It does not create a short link, hosted landing page, account record, scan counter, or editable redirect.
The browser creates both files, scans the completed PNG and SVG with a separate decoder, and blocks each download that does not match the reviewed payload. A passing local check reduces avoidable generator errors but cannot guarantee that every camera, screen, or print will scan.

A static code does not depend on Vaultaire after you download it. The destination, password, contact detail, or other encoded content can still change or stop working.
How to create a QR code without signup
- Enter the content Choose the payload type and fill in only the fields that belong in the code.
- Review the exact payload Check the full canonical URL, URI, text, Wi-Fi record, or vCard before generation.
- Download verified files The browser scans the final PNG and SVG again before it unlocks either download.
What stays inside the browser?
Your QR content is processed in this browser tab. It is not sent to Vaultaire for generation, tracking, or storage. Client analytics send fixed action events to Vaultaire's PostHog proxy, the only connection the route's Content Security Policy allows, and the payload you enter, including any Wi-Fi password, is never part of them. Cloudflare still receives the ordinary requests that load this page and its static assets.
The generated code is not encrypted or access-controlled. Anyone who can see or photograph it may recover its contents. Treat a Wi-Fi QR code or contact card as visible information.

Do static QR codes expire?
The downloaded code has no Vaultaire expiry service or scan limit. It stores the displayed payload directly. A linked page, password, phone number, or other encoded detail can still change or stop working.
Can I create a QR code without signing up?
Yes. Vaultaire does not require an account, email address, or subscription to create and download a static QR code.
Does Vaultaire track QR code scans?
No. Vaultaire adds no redirect and runs no scan-tracking service. A website you encode may have its own logs or analytics when someone opens it.
Is my URL or Wi-Fi password uploaded?
No. The entered QR content is processed in this browser tab and is not sent to Vaultaire for generation, tracking, or storage. Anyone who scans a Wi-Fi QR code can recover its password.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG is convenient for documents, messages, and ordinary screen use. SVG scales without resampling and is usually better for layouts that may be printed at different sizes. Verify the final layout after any editing or compression.
What does QR error correction do?
Error correction adds redundant codewords that may help a reader recover from some damage. It does not guarantee a scan, and it does not make logos or covered modules safe.
Can I edit a static QR code after printing it?
No. The content is part of the printed symbol. Change the fields, create a new code, verify it, and replace the old print.
Does local verification guarantee every phone will scan it?
No. It proves that the bundled independent decoder recovered the reviewed content from the final file. Cameras, print size, surfaces, damage, lighting, and reader support still affect real scans.
